A nice gig

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

I greatly enjoyed my first foray onto public radio this morning, sharing the air with Dr. David Kessler, the author of "The End of Overeating."

I'd only give my appearance a B- or so, — lots of "ums" and "uhs," etc. — and I hope I'll get better with more opportunity.

My biggest disappointment with the hour is that although we spoke of some important issues around obesity, and there are so many, but we didn't talk much about food addiction, which is a central theme of the ideas I hope to convey with my book.

I've heard — and you probably have too — about politicians and other professional speakers who don't much care about the question being asked because they "respond" with the messages they want to convey regardless. Perhaps I need to practice that some.

Regardless, it was a rush to be sharing the air with Kessler, and I'm grateful for the opportunity afforded by WNPR. Here's the audio.
