I missed the free showing last night — and you probably did too — but I still wanted to mention the film “Food Patriots,” about a family’s decision to ratchet up its fresh-and-local food buying, to grow chickens, and to otherwise takes steps toward being part of the food solution.

 I watched the trailer and would have liked to see the stream of it, but I was otherwise encumbered. But I’d like to see it, and I may host a showing to do so, if that’s still doable by the time my schedule would allow it.
