Demons and food addction

Originally I wanted to make fun of this guy, Dattatreya Siva Baba, and he's still campy by Western standards, but his theory isn't too far from what I subscribe to, albeit with different frames of reference.

The description on the site where I "found" the clip said that "the main reason we are attracted to the wrong food is because negative forces or demons make us unconscious and we consume food that is bad for us."

Demons? Really? But OK — I certainly say that I ate unmindfully, that I'd sometimes I'd go to the fridge for, say, an apple, and return a half-hour later having eaten, say, three apples, the leftover pasta, and a couple of bagels with butter. I'd ask myself, how could I do that, again!? Rarely could I explain why I'd awoken with the intention not to eat destructively, only to do it again and again. I had no explanation. He blames it on demons. 'Bout the same, really.

"The demons knock down your consciousness and put you in a rebellous mode. ... The bottom line is you have to become conscious," he says. Yup, pretty much.

His suggestion for doing so has to do with a lime or a lemon. Check him out and see if it might work for you:
