Cereal chief says industry is at fault

So here was the headline from foodnavigator-USA: General Mills CEO: Cereal slowdown is industry's fault, and I thought, "At last, power speaks to truth!"

But no. It's not because almost everything they make is highly processed, sweetened-up, tarted-up crap, which is what I hoped he was owning up to. He's only saying the industry has slackened on ad buying and new-product development. So the GM that doesn't make cars is going to remedy that by going after "older consumers, millennials, middle-class consumers in emerging markets, and multicultural families in the US."

Note to CEO: Try working on what you make, rather than how you sell it.
