I was pleased to read in the Globe this morning that the state is announcing today a $68 million effort to subsidize the installation of solar cells on homes, businesses, and schools in the state.
The story says that people who invest in the technology will be able to recoup half to two-thirds of costs from the state, which intends to fund the initiative with the proceeds of a 25-cent tax that has been levied on homeowners' electric bills for the past decade.
