"Killer Colas"

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

I have not read it yet because it's just out, but I feel I can recommend Nancy Appleton's new book, "Killer Colas, The Hard Truth About Soft Drinks," on the strength of her earlier work, including her 1988 book, "Lick the Sugar Habit," and "Suicide by Sugar."

She has definitely been ahead of the curve on the effects of refined sugar, and she has definitely helped form my thinking on the matter.

At her website, Nancyappleton.com, she lists the top 10 reasons to eschew soda, identifying an impressive range of diseases that arise from consuming them, from obesity and diabetes to liver disease and osteoporosis.
