The Mass. Climate Action Network has opened registration for its yearly gathering, which has moved a bit westward, which is to say the center of the state: Clark University in Worcester, on Oct. 24. Admission is $60, but several types of discounts are available.

I went to last year's event at MIT, and heard several good talks, including the keynote by Bill McKibben. But what I carried away with me was the feeling of being among my people — I related not only to the types of questions asked in sessions but to the chatter in the hallways. I got some new ideas, ran into a couple of friends, and made some new connections. In the world of Joe, I don't know if I'll make it this year, but I do recommend the experience.
