For Christmas, a book on food addiction

Front cover: "Food Junkies: "The Truth About Food Addiction

Two of the presenters at the first medical-institution-sponsored conference on food addiction and treatment have a book coming out. “Food Junkies: The Truth About Food Addiction,” due for Christmas release, is by Dr. Vera Tarman of Toronto, with content contributed by Philip Werdell, co-founder of Acorn Food Dependency Recovery Services of Sarasota.

I’m looking forward to reading it, perhaps via a galley in advance of the release, and I'll review it when I do. Dr. Tarman and I appeared on a panel at the Commonwealth Club of California a few years back, and I’ve admired Werdell going back 15 years.

According to the Amazon page:

Food Junkies offers practical information grounded in medical science, while putting a face to the problems of food addiction. It is meant to be a knowledgeable and friendly guide on the road to food serenity.

Comments

I like the book author, Dr. Tarman  and watched some interviews she was in and listened to a couple of podcasts she was interviewed in (Jimmy Moore and Sean Croxton). I wish I had an option of a different book cover than my binge food. I'm so effected by food photos. Oh well, that's what book covers are for... :) Thanks for your review. Karen P
